022: Toxic Hustle Culture, Hard Work & How To Build A Sustainable Business

It’s about time we cover this JUICY topic: is “hustle” culture toxic?!   As entrepreneurs and biohackers, we value hard work to achieve our dreams, but we also understand the importance of rest. This is why we’re so excited to dive into the nuances of society’s expectations around work and the benefits and drawbacks of the “hustle” mentality!

Hustle with Purpose

The concept of “hustle” has become a popular buzzword in recent years, with many people advocating for it as a means of achieving success. However, there is also a growing concern that hustle can become toxic, leading to burnout and a negative impact on mental health. In this context, we feel it’s important to consider the idea of hustle with purpose.   Hustle with purpose means having a clear understanding of why you are working hard and what you hope to achieve. This requires taking the time to reflect on your goals and values, and being honest with yourself about what motivates you. It also means being willing to adjust your approach if you find that your current path is not aligned with your goals.   Personally, we are currently in a season of building, with our podcast being a key part of our business strategy. Growing the podcast certainly isn’t easy, but we’re motivated by a desire to help people and achieve generational wealth for our family.   Hustle with awareness involves being mindful of your own well-being and avoiding burnout. This means recognizing when you need to take a break, and being willing to prioritize self-care. It also means being aware of the impact of your work on those around you, and being willing to make changes if necessary.   By recognizing the season we are in, we can adjust our approach to work and find a balance between hustle and self-care. We can work hard during the week and take time for rest and rejuvenation on the weekends. We can be mindful of our own well-being and the impact of our work on those around us.

Hustle is NECESSARY for Success

We are huge advocates of hard work, dedication, and perseverance in achieving our goals. Success does NOT come easy and requires a lot of effort and sacrifice! We are firm believers that in order to achieve your dreams, you must push yourself beyond your comfort zone. That’s just a fact.   There is often a negative perception of hustle culture, which is often associated with burnout and overworking. But we believe that hustle is NOT toxic if it’s done in a healthy and sustainable way. You can do this by having systems and boundaries in place to ensure that you’re being productive, prioritize tasks, avoid distractions, and be intentional with your time.   We truly believe that by setting clear boundaries and having realistic expectations, you can achieve success without compromising their mental and emotional health.   Speaking of mental and emotional health…

Rest is ALSO Important!

While hustle is necessary for success, it’s equally important to recognize the value of rest and stillness. Rest allows us to recharge, reflect, and prioritize self-care. Without rest, burnout and exhaustion can hinder one’s ability to hustle effectively. It is crucial to find a balance between hustle and rest, as both are essential for achieving long-term success.   We encourage you to change your relationship with hustle to avoid burnout and maintain mental and emotional well-being, as well as embrace both masculine and feminine energies in everything you do.   Do you agree or disagree with us?!
