movement is medicine

Let’s talk getting active. I workout because I’m addicted to the high ⚡️💪🏽. And because I believe movement is medicine.

After a few years of struggling with health issues that really affected my energy and my workouts, I’m so proud to say my body is feeling better than ever in 2020. Maybe it’s all the rest and home cooked meals?? 💀 Does anyone else relate on that front?

After a lot of healing and re-adjusting my lifestyle — more on that later — I’ve finally found consistency in my workouts again. and honestly, I am so grateful 😭. Right now, I’m definitely not at my fittest, but that’s not my goal anymore. My goal is to feel good and yes, to look good too 🍑

Doing CrossFit for 7 years was one of the best things I ever did for my mental health. Fitness keeps me grounded and mentally sound. I am happy to say I’m now back at my own garage-gym-chilled-out-version of it 🙌🏽.

So let’s dive into a simple workout you can do anywhere:

4 rounds:

1 min burpees

1 min walking lunges

1 min DB clean & press

1 min goblet squats

1 min partner Russian twist toss

1 min rest

You can check out the video version of me and Kyle working through this on my IG. When you do, let me know what your current favorite at-home workout routine is. I’d love to hear!
