your summer hair essentials

Today I’m covering my summertime haircare essentials: exactly how I protect my strands during the hot summer months. I rely on a few key products. They’re all super simple to use, and won’t break your budget, either. Sound good? Let’s get right to it…

01. HAIR MASQUES.

Hair masques allow you a super quick & easy way to help nourish and hydrate your hair. And the good news? MONAT offers a variety of masques, each one targeting a specific hair need. It’s important that the masque you choose includes only the best ingredients, and is actually proven to work. Let’s dive into more info on a few of the masques I absolutely love, and get the details on a brand new masque that just dropped.

First, let’s recap my three fav, tried & true hair masques that MONAT has offered for a little while. They each serve a different purpose and target a different hair need.

A repairing and hydrating masque ideal for damaged and moisture-starved hair. This masque penetrates and nurtures the scalp while helping boost natural hair growth, improving follicle strength, and reducing hair thinning. It infuses essential moisture and delivers vital nutrients to help eliminate frizz and reduce split ends. Hair is left silky, more manageable and youthful looking. Safe to use on colored or chemically treated hair and extensions.

This masque is my MVP. It promotes healthy, lustrous shine by infusing hair with natural oils, minerals, and vitamins. Hair is nourished, leaving it feeling soft and silky. Depleted amino acids are replenished for improved hair texture and manageability. It gives the proper moisture balance to combat brittleness and makes the hair more responsive to styling.

If you’re looking to really help improve your hair’s overall condition, this is an amazing solution. This is an intensive, ultra-rich reparative hair masque that penetrates deep to fix breakage, strengthen, soften and transform the look of damaged, brittle, over-processed hair within minutes.

And, last but not least, MONAT launched a brand new in shower masque, and it’s incredible. The Advanced Hydrating Masque is fast acting, super lightweight, and offers deep hydration. It offers amazing shine and softness for your strands:

+ nourishes hair in less than 5 mins.

+ helps fight breakage & dryness with antioxidants.

+ amazing for all hair types.

TO USE: Simply shampoo hair as normal, then apply the masque to wet hair (before conditioning). Let the masque sit for 5 mins. Then, wash out and condition as normal. Use 1-2x per week. What I love most about MONAT’s hair masques is that they’re so incredibly simple to use. That’s it!

02. LEAVE IN CONDITIONER.

One of my all time favorite haircare products – the Restore Leave In Conditioner. It gives my strands an extra dose of moisture without weighing it down. To use, apply a few pumps to wet, clean hair. Then style as usual. You’ll notice your hair feels soft, healthy and has an added shine. This is a must-have during the summer months!

03. A DETANGLER.

I love spraying my fav detangler before I spend time in the pool, at the beach or on the lake. It ensures my hair stays knot free and super silky. MONAT offers the Kid’s Detangler as well as the Unknot Detangler, both amazing for all hair types. They’ll help leave your hair soft, frizz free and conditioned while you enjoy time in the sun and on the water.

04. THE WAVE SPRAY

A new product just recently launched – the Wave Spray. If effortless, beach wavey hair is your goal this summer, this is for you. Ideal for all hair types to enhance your natural waves, this salt-free liquid spray offers all-day shine and hydration using an innovative plant oil blend. Includes baobab, pequi fruit oil, and coconut oil. Get ready for perfectly tousled hair all summer long!
