Ok, gang, vulnerable story ahead —
Three years ago, I decided to partner with a luxury haircare brand as a side income to my social media consulting business. A lot of people want to assume a lot of things about why I decided to do this, but what they don’t know is that for seven months before I even told a soul about it, I washed my hair with these products in secret.
And let me tell you, I really wanted to not love them. But that’s just not how the story goes…
My hair was a disaster from a very stressful few years for me and Kyle. I had hypothyroidism but I didn’t know it yet and I was burning the candle at both ends with work and training CrossFit. I hit complete burnout in 2017.
Someone had sent me samples of Monat and I decided I was going to “sign up for the discount,” because honestly the samples didn’t wow me. I needed to give it a fair shot because I had tried it allllll at that point when it came to my hair.
You can swipe to see my literal hair transformation ➡️ in less than 10 slides on my IG.⠀
Here’s the deal — I was an MLM hater. I know, it’s hard to believe now. But I was the person who would be super nasty to someone who would DM me about their “magic product”. I’m definitely not proud of it, but it’s just the truth.
⠀
It’s funny when you’re forced to eat a giant piece of humble pie because suddenly I found myself telling people at the gym, posting selfies for the first time since college, and honestly feeling more confident than ever. I got over my damn self and just decided to go for it. #neversaynever
⠀
So when people ask me “do those products really work…?” I giggle because I was a skeptic too, once. And those transformation photos mean so much more to me than just a hair transformation, because I’m not the same girl I was 3 years ago.
⠀
I am kinder, more open-minded, I am stronger, more confident, available to be wrong, happier, and filled with more gratitude than ever before.
⠀
You may think it’s cheesy AF, but if you know me, IDGAF. Honestly, Monat changed me on the outside as much as the inside.
I’ll never get over how a bottle of shampoo impacted my life so much. So, I’ll keep sharing and washing and waiting for you to say “yes”, too.
