052: Make $10k Per Month As A Coach Or Creator

Today I’m excited to share with you how you can make $10,000 per month as an online course creator!

Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been in the game for a while, my method is designed to help you achieve your financial goals without the stress of complicated launches or overwhelming tech. Let’s dive in!

The Online Course Boom

The e-learning industry is booming, and it’s a multi-billion dollar market that continues to grow. Especially after 2020, many people have realized the potential of online business. If you have a skill or knowledge that others need, there’s a place for you in this space.

But before you dive in, it’s crucial to identify your highest value skill. This is the first step in creating a profitable online course.

Identify Your Highest Value Skill

Take some time for self-reflection. What skills do you possess that can drive specific results for others? Think about your certifications, degrees, or experiences that others often ask you about. The more specific you can get, the better.

For example, if you’re great at video editing, consider targeting a niche like helping fitness YouTubers improve their content.

Once you have a skill in mind, it’s time to validate your idea. Talk to at least 20 people in your target market. Ask them about their struggles and what solutions they’ve tried.

This research will help you understand what people are willing to pay for and how you can differentiate your offer from others in the market.

Create Your Offer

Now that you’ve validated your idea, it’s time to create your offer. I recommend starting with a “beta offer.” This allows you to sell your course before it’s fully built, giving you the chance to gather feedback and make improvements along the way.

The key here is to follow my “Rule of One”: help one person achieve one outcome through one process. This clarity will make it easier for potential customers to understand the value of your offer.

For instance, if you’re helping triathletes prepare for their first Ironman, be specific about the outcomes they can expect. This clarity will not only attract the right audience but also make your sales process smoother.

Build Your Audience While You Monetize

Many aspiring creators hesitate to sell their products until they have a large following. This is a common misconception. You can absolutely be successful with a smaller audience if you focus on attracting the right people.

The goal is to go deep, not wide… build your audience with ideal customers who are genuinely interested in what you have to offer!

Choose one platform to focus on initially. I personally prefer Instagram because it allows for direct communication through DMs, but you can choose whatever platform works best for you. The goal is to create content that resonates with your audience and showcases your expertise.

Niche Down for Success

When it comes to niching down, remember that “riches are in the niches.” If your main niche is fitness, think about a sub-niche that you can specialize in, such as postpartum fitness. The more specific you are, the easier it will be to create a compelling offer that gets results for your audience.

As you build your audience, consider using lead magnets like free workshops or checklists to attract potential customers. This not only helps you grow your email list but also builds trust with your audience.

Create a Content Plan

Your content plan is essential for converting your audience into paying customers. Focus on three main pillars: education, authority, and inspiration. Your content should educate your audience about their problems, establish your authority in your niche, and inspire them to take action.

If you’re not making the sales you want, it might be because you’re not providing enough educational or authority-driven content. Show your audience why you’re worth investing in by demonstrating your expertise.

Set Financial Goals

To reach your goal of $10,000 per month, you need to map out how you’ll achieve that. For example, if you’re selling a course for $200, you’ll need to sell 50 of them in a month.

Then, break that down further: that’s about 12-13 sales per week or two sales per day. By reverse engineering your sales goals, you’ll have a clearer understanding of the actions you need to take to reach your target.

Mindset Matters

Finally, let’s talk about mindset. Achieving your financial goals won’t be easy, and it requires perseverance and resourcefulness. You need to be willing to show up consistently, even when the likes and leads aren’t pouring in.

Continuous learning and experimentation are key. Don’t be afraid to pivot or adjust your approach based on feedback from your audience.

Remember, many people quit before they see success. The ones who succeed are often those who refuse to give up. You can absolutely make $10,000 per month as a course creator, but it will take dedication and a willingness to keep going.
