It’s no secret that I’ve been sharing my wellness journey with you all on Instagram for years now. After suffering from MAJOR adrenal fatigue in 2017, I took a major step back on pretty much anything that caused intense stress and started implementing things into my daily routine that would nourish my adrenals and give me more pep in my step.
ENTER: adrenal cocktail.
I’ve been obsessed with this “adrenal cocktail” lately. It’s soooo refreshing and delish. And has SUCH good minerals and vitamins that nourish your liver and adrenals. Which we all literally need… especially if you’re feeling any extra stress lately. Amirite?
Here’s the recipe:
• 4 oz of organic orange 🍊 juice
• 4 oz organic coconut 🥥 water
• 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
• 1/4 Redmond’s Real Sea Salt 🧂
A few notes from The Root Cause Protocol on health benefits:
– the orange juice is best fresh squeezed but I just use @evolutionfresh organic OJ. bc convenience. the vitamin C ensures that the minerals below get to the liver to then nourish the adrenals.
– cream of tartar is a fabulous source of potassium 🍌. sounds weird I know – just try it! TRUST.
– GOOD quality sea salt is an excellent source of sodium and 90+ other trace minerals. don’t be afraid of good salt fam.
They say you can drink it up to 1-2x a day, and it’s best an hour before or after food – I like mine around 10am it 2pm. I’m v specific.
Obviously this isn’t medical advice so don’t get your panties in a bunch. But this is a MUCH better swap than an energy drink, or soda. or a 4th cup of coffee. the more you know & SAVE this post for later!
