3 Mindset Tips for Entrepreneurs

Working in direct sales can be stressful and make you feel a lot of pressure, but  I’ve perfected my craft and want to share three mindset tips to help you succeed!

If I can do it, so can YOU!

A little background about me: I’ve been an entrepreneur since I graduated from college in 2012. I knew from the get-go that I wanted flexibility in my schedule and that I wanted to be my own boss. Freedom is everything to me, and I wanted to be able to take off and do what I want with my time. My husband and I have started many businesses like being a health coach, designing websites, cookie business, personal training, and more! We’ve been entrepreneurs for over a decade and have learned from our mistakes and how to build a successful business. It wasn’t until I dove into direct sales that I saw a significant change in my life.

If you’re in direct sales, I have some tips that I think can help you in your business!

Tip #1: Embrace speed in your business!

Speed is everything. If you can adopt this mindset of being quick at any moment, it can change things for your business! When I started my business in 2017, my reason for starting my business with Monat was to replace my income within five months completely. I chose to put my head down and work until I achieved my goal. There is so much power in a plan. Whether you have a dream to accomplish in a week, a month, or half of a year, do not allow yourself a plan b. Success loves speed, so you just have to rip the bandaid off and go for it. You have to take action, be willing to fail, and keep going until you get where you want!

Tip #2: There is no Plan B!

If you want to succeed, you cannot give yourself a way out. It’s the same in marriage. If you get married and think if this fails, I have a plan b, your marriage will never succeed. The same goes for your business. If you have a plan b, you’ll always resort to your backup. I gave myself five months to reach my goal, and I purposefully didn’t give myself a plan b. I knew I didn’t want to give myself that option. If you are starting something, drop the mindset “if I don’t succeed, then I can go do XYZ”.This mindset shift is what changed the game for me.

Tip #3: Make it about other people!

If your efforts in business are based on other people and not yourself, you’ll have less time to think about yourself. Your business is about helping other people, so put them at the center! If I want to win, I have to help others win. Years ago, I only thought about myself in my entrepreneurship journey, and I failed repeatedly. It wasn’t until I started thinking about others that I started seeing success. Stop worrying about what people think about you. Who cares what they think? Just show up for your people and give them value. If you want to win in 2022, offer value and help others. If you commit to that, you’ll see success.

These are mindset tips, and 80% of success is mindset. If these tips are overwhelming, make them more tangible, and practice them! Set a small goal and implement them. I promise you’ll see success!

Don’t quit, babe. You’ve got this!
