Postpartum Hair Routine

If you’ve had a baby or are in the thick of the fourth trimester, you know that hair loss during postpartum is real. It’s inevitable and hard to avoid. I knew to expect it and knew it was normal. That didn’t make it any easier!

Because I was expecting hair loss, I implemented and continued a balanced diet so that I was nourishing my body. In addition to nourishing my body, I have found some products that work wonders for my hair. First things first, my Rejeveniqe oil treatments are a must on hair wash days. You can read all about the process here.

So now that we know hair loss during postpartum is normal, let’s dive into my tips on surviving the season of hair loss!

1 ACV Scrub

I’ve noticed more oil in my hair and scalp. I use this scalp scrub first. It’s packed with ACV, AHAS, and purifying pink clay. This combo deeply cleanses my scalp, exfoliating away dead skin cells and leaving me with an extra clean feeling.

2. Hydrating Shampoo

This shampoo is sulfate-free and gently cleanses my hair while hydrating and rebalancing moisture. The hyaluronic acid leaves my hair shinier, and it doesn’t weigh it down!

3. Intense Repair Conditioner

This is my number one product for postpartum hair loss. It’s incredible! Not only is it extremely hydrating, but it promotes growth. If you’re only going to implement one product, this is it!

4. Unknot Detangler

Another must. I use this daily. It helps detangle while also controlling frizz and static. It’s a great product to use before styling and on wet or dry hair.

5. Bond Repair Leave-in Creme

When you’re experiencing hair loss, it’s so important to protect the hair you have! This leave-in creme hydrates damaged hair and acts as a heat protectant.

6. Dyson

This is an investment, but I am obsessed. I recommend it to anyone that will listen!

7. Curler

I love adding a few loose curls. This curler is excellent and gives the perfect relaxed look. Getting ready these days is essential to me. It always makes me feel better after a sleepless night!

These are just a few things I am doing to help take care of my hair and help with the hair loss I’ve experienced. Everyone’s postpartum experience is different, but I hope that this helps! If you’re looking for a personalized hair routine, head over to my quiz.
